Daniel Sturridge free agent
|
Let's face it, we are fucking desperate! Yarmalenko is never a striker and Mipo looked lost last night.
Bring in a PL experienced striker. He won't score goals, but he can run the channels and link up with Lingard, Benny and Bowen....etc

Well most of us was wrong about Dawson. At times when a free agent is on "last chance saloon" on getting a contract they tend to pull their fingers out to catch the eye of the manager.
A play and pay contract, would be suitable - Diego Costa wouldn't go for that. I cant see him gelling well with the players in out team.

What was that "Sahko will reveal all" statement that was made by him just after he left?
Did it ever come out what is was?

Oh, and I forgot Lingard in that lineup (he can take either Bowen's place, given he's out of form and Lingard and Benrahma seemed to have a very good understanding versus Villa.

In fairness to the board (you won't hear me say that much) they made money available this window, and Moyes chose to hold onto it, rather than use it to take a punt on a player he wasn't totally sure about.
Looks like it's gonna bite us now, or otherwise we're going to need to see if we can adapt tactics to a false 9 setup (which will basically mean less focus on crosses, more ball to feet, and maybe a formation change to let us play two up top.
I also think the boy Mipo deserves another go - he won't get much more tough a game than last night, wheras Sheff Utd this weekend will be a different level.
I'd go with:
-----------------------Fabianski
---------Balbuena--Dawson---Cresswell
Coufal-----------------------------------Johnson
----------Soucek-----Rice-----Fornals
--------------Benrahma----Bowen
...and then look to introduce Mipo from the bench if we can get noses in front. Having said that, noises are Antonio will be available for the game.
We have the benefit of being a well drilled team defensively, as well as a strong threat from set pieces, so we just need to find an effective way of remaining a threat in open play. Two mobile, tricky and quick forwards that can run into the channels can be effective...we just need to adapt the game plan a little.

side but if you go fo that thinking we'd have an extra 3 points as I reckon even that kid after going round the keeper against Man Utd wouldn't of fallen over like a 93 year old corona victim on a ice rink that along with all the other fucking sitters that complete fucking donkey missed

That kid last night made Haller look like an enthusiastic young scamp chomping at the bit to play football and loving it. Such was the fucking unforgivable lack of effort from the little twat. Talk about throw your chance away.

I dunno 360 myself but we have 4 points extra thanks to his few goals so we should really be 9th if he never really made any sort of difference.

Does anyone really think Haller would have made any difference to that result?
The slowest player in world football pressing McGuire and Lindelhoff? lol
I think he would have been worse than the young 18yr old. As we've seen with Haller, unless the ball is on a plate for him in the 6yrd box nothing is happening. Not at this level.

What would be the point of bringing in some cunt like this now our season is effectively over?
Limp along until summer, dropping slowly down the table then start the transfer propaganda war once again. Start next season with a couple of new players (not necessarily where they are needed) and a few gaping holes in the squad. As usual. Win nothing.
REPEAT FOREVER.

Sturridge would end up keeping Yarmo and Antonio company in the treatment room.
If we go for anyone short term is out of contract, Diego Costa has to be the option.
